Position Overview: American Home Contractors seeks a skilled and dependable Solar Electrician to join our renewable energy team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all electrical work for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including wiring, inverters, and other components.
  • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to ensure proper functionality.
  • Adhere to all electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations during installations and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members, project managers, and installers to complete projects efficiently.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Perform site assessments to evaluate system requirements and address challenges.
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, inspections, and service work.
  • Explain system operations to customers and answer technical questions.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements and emerging solar technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in electrical work, with preference for solar PV systems or renewable energy projects.
  • An Electrical Journeyperson's license is preferred but not required.
  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with solar components, including Tesla Solar Roofs, SPAN systems, and Tesla Powerwalls, is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Proficiency with relevant tools and software for solar electrical installations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
