Collections Supervisor

Under the supervision of the Site/Mobile Field Manager, assumes responsibility for supervising the staff in the collection at fixed sites and/or mobile sites. Monitors the collection activities to ensure compliance with SOPs. Serves as a resource for donor eligibility and phlebotomy complications. Responsible for meeting projected production goals. Delegates duties to staff. Coordinates with the mobile chairperson

•Controlling further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming products until the deficiency or satisfactory condition has been corrected.

Essential Functions

•Supervises blood collection at fixed/mobile sites.

•Trained on all tasks required of Donor Care Technicians I, II, III,IV & V (as applicable).

•Functions as a resource for staff regarding donor criteria and vein suitability.

•Functions as a resource for donor questions and concerns.

•Functions as a resource for difficult venipunctures.

•Revews QC documentation.

•Ensures staff compliance with SOPs.

•Determines job assignments, breaks, and meal tinies for staff.

•Coordinates with the mobile chairperson and volunteers.

•Handles or seeks help for emergencies that occur.

•Ensures compliance with the CBC safety policies and procedures.

•Maintains confidentiality of personal information regarding donors and staff.

•Responds to staffing problems and donor/staff complaints and counsel donors and staff as needed.

•Provides written evaluation of staff regarding performance and compliance with SOPs.

•Provides documentation when needed regarding staff behavior and/or attendance problems.

•Proniotes customer service and a positive image of CBC to the community.

•Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

•Responsible for responding to temperature/humidity alarms (as applicable).

•Responsible for maintaining and reconciling monthly equipment inventory

•Must be able to confidently colllUlunication and interpret intermediate information in English to all members of the public and staff.

Other Functions

•Maintains knowledge of donor inler ew and phlebotomy tasks.

•Performs registration, unit processing, and duties of MUOs when needed (as applicable).

•Ensures proper equipment is available for collections.

•Orders supplies as needed.
