Overview

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both automated and manual testing, with hands-on experience in PowerApps, PowerBI, APIs, and database technologies. This role requires the development and execution of test plans and cases, and scripting for automated testing integration within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Experience in documenting and prioritizing bugs using Azure DevOps is essential. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with financial data, given its complexity and sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
  • Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure the software meets quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to integrate tests seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps.
  • Utilize PowerApps and PowerBI to test and validate workflows and reporting modules.
  • Conduct API and database testing to ensure systems interact optimally and data integrity is maintained.
  • Document, track, and prioritize bugs in Azure DevOps, providing detailed reports and recommendations for resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to identify, reproduce, and report defects, and follow through on their resolution.
  • Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies, and continuously improve the testing framework and processes.
  • Work with confidential financial data, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and security requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with strong skills in both manual and automated testing.
  • 3-5 years of experience in QA engineering and testing in the technology stacks listed.
  • Experience in developing automation scripts and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in testing applications built with PowerApps and PowerBI.
  • Strong understanding of API testing and relational databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with financial data and understanding of financial principles and compliance.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards affecting financial software and data security.

Certifications in Quality Assurance, Azure, or relevant fields.
