Job Description

Job Title: Senior Controller

Location: Westport, CT

Lendmarq

is actively seeking a SeniorController to join our dynamic team in Westport, CT.

The SeniorController will play a pivotal role in managing the Companys budgets, ledgers,financial reporting systems, strategic initiatives and KPIs. The SeniorController will ensure regulatory compliance, maintain internal controlsafeguards, manage and analyze financial statements, internal reporting,budgets and tax compliance.

WorkLocation:

The candidatemust reside within a commutable range of our Westport, CT office or be planningto relocate before starting work. (Required)

Ourstandard working hours are Monday Friday 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM.

Objectivesof this role:

Providecomprehensive financial updates to senior managers, investors, and stakeholdersby evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points

Guidefinancial decisions by applying Company policies and procedures to currenteconomic landscape

Develop,implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines

Achievebudgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions

Helpdevelop and support short- and long-term financial strategies

Responsibilities:

Maintaininternal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizationalbudgets and actual expenditures

Establishfinancial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reportingstandards on biweekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Implementconsistent GAAP policies, practices, and procedures across all programs,adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable ofproposed legislation

Developand enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets,policies, procedures, and workflows

Overseeand support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environmentof trust and productivity

Overseeall accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance withappropriate standards and regulatory requirements

Communicatemonthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements to executive management

Assistleadership in the annual budgeting and planning process

Coordinateand participate in external audits

Addressaudit findings and implement corrective actions

Requirements

Qualifications:

CertifiedPublic Accountant (CPA) license required

Minimumof ten (10) years of experience as a senior level accountantor finance manager

Advancedlevel of Excel and PowerPoint, with high proficiency in MS Office Suite

Experiencewith real estate finance, mortgage lending, or related financial servicesindustry

Exceptionaldecision-making skills and the ability tomeet deadlines

Strongunderstanding of confidentiality and the importance of securely handlingpersonal and financial information

Flexibilityto adapt to peak periods of heavy workload and pressure

Proficientin using accounting software and financial databases
