PSG is a community-based social services organization seeking compassionate and dedicated professionals for the Recovery Specialist role within the Winnebago Parent Support Program (PSP).

PSP programming provides intensive parenting education and support to parents in building safe and effective parenting strategies. As the Recovery Specialist, you will collaborate with Winnebago County Child Welfare to support parents with mental health and/or substance use issues. The primary focus of this role is to connect clients to treatment, provide recovery support, and advocate for the client.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE RECOVERY SPECIALIST:

  • Analyze client histories, strengths, and needs to determine what services will be needed to meet the needs of the client.
  • Create and implement client treatment plans that are goal-oriented and strengths-based.
  • Develop a crisis/safety plan for the client.
  • Address the client's basic needs alongside therapeutic interventions to enhance effectiveness in areas like parenting, housing, and employability.
  • Assist client with developing infomal supports that will help in their recovery.
  • Safely transport clients as needed.

LOCATION: Office is located in Neenah, WI with some local travel required to meet clients within the home or other community spaces. Flexibility for hybrid/remote scheduling. Must be able to meet in-person with families located in Winnebago County, Wisconsin.

SCHEDULE: Full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Schedule will include several evenings per week.

SALARY: $20.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with mental health and addiction issues is required.
  • Must have a basic understanding of mental health and substance use.
  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
