divh2Fleet Servicing/Janitor Position/h2pThe Fleet Servicing/Janitor position provides a variety of cleaning services and other related duties required to keep office, airport, facilities, or similar areas in a clean and orderly condition. Full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions may be available./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliCleans, sweeps, vacuums, mops office facilities and/or customer areas on aircrafts in accordance with specific cleaning protocols dictated by the airline. This may involve airplane galleys and/or lavatories./liliDusts both low and high areas./liliWipes down or cleans various surfaces. Uses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks./liliRemoves and properly disposes of discarded materials./liliRemoves and transports trash to the appropriate disposal areas./liliMay compact trash./liliMay keep building entryways free of snow and debris./liliMay operate a vehicle to work at various locations./liliMay periodically perform a variety of special duties such as certain types of laundry duties or periodically scheduled cleaning tasks./liliMay transport passengers requiring wheelchair assistance within the terminal and aircraft./liliAssist wheelchair passengers with their carry-on bags, assisted devices and checked luggage./liliWorking in and around aircrafts and be able to follow cleaning and security protocol that will be discussed and properly trained prior to work./liliThis position has no supervisory responsibilities./liliOther duties that are pertinent to the department or units success also may be assigned./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliA high school diploma or GED equivalent./liliSome combination or education or experience that evidences a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes./liliMust be able to pass a background check and physical evaluation./liliMust be able to follow established procedures and must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in day to day activities./liliMust look for ways to improve and promote quality./liliMust apply feedback to improve performance./liliMust meet productivity standards, complete work in timely manner and strive to increase personal productivity./liliMust observe safety and security procedures./liliReport potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment and materials properly./liliMust be consistently at work and on time./liliMust be able to work effectively with a minimum of supervision or support./liliMust be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliValid Alaska Drivers License with 3 yrs. clean driving record. Incumbent must be able to uphold a current State of Alaska drivers license./li/ulpWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements/ppWeather: Indoor/Outdoor. Frequently exposed to arctic conditions./ppNoise level: Moderate to Loud/ppDescription of environment: This is an airport setting/ppPhysical requirements:/ppThe associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently pull/push cart and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds./ppWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk or hear, pull/push carts, twist. The associate is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
