The Mine Permitting Specialist will be involved in planning and preparing mining permits, modifications, annual reports, and other regulatory approvals to meet business goals. Responsibilities include supporting Reclamation staff on reclamation design, providing assistance to Mine Planning staff, and more. Responsibilities: Communicate with municipalities and regulatory agencies as necessary for mine permits processing Attend regulatory agencies meetings and public hearings Support other departments with permitting Participate in permit application preparation and submission Provide technical expertise for assessments and problem-solving Research and stay updated on regulatory rules and requirements Prepare reports for county, state, and federal agencies Handle miscellaneous permitting duties and projects Requirements: Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, mining, civil, geological, or environmental engineering Understanding of ecological principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities Experience: Mine Permitting Specialist: 1+ years of mine and wetland permitting experience Senior Mine Permitting Specialist: 5+ years of mine and wetland permitting experience, 3+ years of project management experience Bonus: Background in environmental policy and regulatory affairs Prior project management experience Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Paid vacation and sick time Tuition Reimbursement 401k company matching Optional HSA plan with company match 9/80 schedule
