Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting practitioners in performing procedures and other patient care tasks.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Floating to various offices as needed to meet staffing requirements.
Dress Code

Personal scrubs of any color.

Requirements
  • Experience in basic office skills; data entry skills preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based PC applications.
  • Experience in surgical scheduling and procedures preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions.
  • Sensitivity to diverse cultures and cultural differences.
  • Knowledge of community services.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, multifaceted position.
  • Good telephone communication skills.
  • Flexibility to cover for vacations and absences.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team framework.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to other office sites within Berkshire County.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in speaking and writing the English language.
Additional Information
  • 8 hours non-billable orientation.
  • Holiday, OT multipliers: 1.25%.
Submission Requirements
  • 1 year of current experience.
  • CMA or RMA certification required - Must be uploaded with Profile.
  • Experience in handling multiple phone lines and excellent clerical/organizational skills.
  • Experience in specimen testing preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Two specific interview dates/times of availability must be added to the profile; "ANYTIME" will not be accepted.
Profile Requirements
  • Work History.
  • Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year.
  • 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment).
  • License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile (CMA or RMA, BLS, Covid Vaccination proofs dated on or after 10/3/23, or intent to file exemption form).
Certification Requirements
  • BLS (AHA).
