Key Responsibilities

In charge of all the accounts payable functions for the company including but not limited to obtain invoice approvals, process vendor payments, record journal entries in the accounting system, as well as verify and create new vendors. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts. Prepare month-end consolidated cash report. Assist with the monthly close process for all legal entities; record closing journal entries under the accrual method of accounting, including consolidating schedules with elimination entries. On-going maintenance of financial accounting system and corporate records across the enterprise. Assist managers with ad-hoc deliverables and special projects.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business economics and/or emphasis in accounting. Minimum two years of GAAP financial accounting and reporting experience in public accounting and/or the private sector, preferably investment management / financial services firms, as well as family offices. Intellectual curiosity, strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will have the highest level of integrity, ownership, discretion, and dependability, and a strong sense of commitment to colleagues and shareholders.

Must have strong technical skills and a rigorous and thorough approach to controls and compliance. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and achieve objectives with tight timeframes on multiple projects. Possesses a “can do” attitude and takes initiative. Capable of growing with the organization and assuming greater responsibilities. Rigorously ownership mentality around processes and procedures for achieving high levels of individual and organizational performance. Superior analytical skills with the ability to apply logic and sound reasoning to determine the facts, understand cause and effect and demonstrate the necessary savvy to apply good judgment in complex situations.
