Compensation:Approximately $18.37 - $21.30 per hour. All individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate's experience and internal equity.
Overview of Role:
Provide pro-active care team support with designated administrative and clinical support duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Care Team and patient care workflows through:
- Opening and Closing Labs: Cleaning Quidel Machine & Hemoglobin daily; controls for point of care tests.
- Instrument cleaning and sterilization.
- Running autoclave machine.
- Taking inventory of instruments on a regular basis.
- Stocking rooms and labs which includes checking expiration dates and removing expired supplies.
- Emptying/replacing needle boxes.
- End of day cleaning (rooms, labs etc.)
- Prior Authorizations.
- Working as a team with other Patient Care Technicians across the organization to ensure adequate coverage across the organization. This may require working at another site.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience :
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Attention to detail, ability to perform under pressure and work in a team management system.
- Computer knowledge including familiarity with MS Office and Electronic Medical Records.
- Critical thinking and independent problem solving.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently.
- Sensitivity to low income, ethnic minority community is a must.
