Compensation:Approximately $18.37 - $21.30 per hour. All individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate's experience and internal equity.

Overview of Role:

Provide pro-active care team support with designated administrative and clinical support duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support Care Team and patient care workflows through:
    • Opening and Closing Labs: Cleaning Quidel Machine & Hemoglobin daily; controls for point of care tests.
    • Instrument cleaning and sterilization.
    • Running autoclave machine.
    • Taking inventory of instruments on a regular basis.
    • Stocking rooms and labs which includes checking expiration dates and removing expired supplies.
    • Emptying/replacing needle boxes.
    • End of day cleaning (rooms, labs etc.)
  • Prior Authorizations.
  • Working as a team with other Patient Care Technicians across the organization to ensure adequate coverage across the organization. This may require working at another site.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience :

  1. High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  1. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  2. Attention to detail, ability to perform under pressure and work in a team management system.
  3. Computer knowledge including familiarity with MS Office and Electronic Medical Records.
  4. Critical thinking and independent problem solving.
  5. Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently.
  6. Sensitivity to low income, ethnic minority community is a must.
