**The role youll contribute:**

**Responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice and other cognitive related disorders requiring intervention by a Speech-Language Pathologist through an interdisciplinary approach. Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health to well-being of the patient. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.**

+ Evaluates patients referred to speech therapy by completing initial profile within time standards per department protocol.

+ Applies appropriate diagnostic and prognostic tests including but not limited to dysphagia, aphasia, language, voice, speech, and cognitive deficits.

+ Standardized testing will include special tests to determine level of disability and track outcomes over the patient care experience.

+ Performs a variety of therapeutic interventions including but not limited to swallowing, voice, speech-language, and cognitive skills.

Qualifications

**The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:**

+ **_Masters degree in speech-language therapy with a Certificate of Clinical Competence_**

+ **Current Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association**

+ **Current Speech Language Pathologist Certification with the State of Colorado**

+ **Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association**
