Company: TRISTAR (Tri Star Engineering, Inc.)Apply for position at: www.star3.comLocation: US IN-CraneEmployee Type: Full-Time/ ExemptTravel Required: Yes (2 times annually)Relocation Accommodation: NoApproximate Start Date: Upon Suitable Candidate SelectionPosting Close: Upon Suitable Candidate SelectionTRISTAR is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our up coming government customer in Crane, INPosition Description:Seeking Sr Level Mechanical Engineer to support various systems in Radar Technologies DivisionPosition Responsibilities:Provide mechanical/electrical engineering support to ensure procedural documents are accurate and correctProvide mechanical/electrical engineering support for AN/SPS-67 and AN/SPS-73 Radars systems and associated equipmentMechanical/Electrical engineering support shall include:Develop procedures with initial guidance and in-process review from Government subject matter experts (SME)Implement Government SME comments as part of this support tasking.Review performance specification/performance requirements to identify test parameters necessary to establish radar subsystems test capabilityDesign multi-functional test stations capable of energizing/testing Radar subcomponent performance parametersAnalyze test dataUpdate performance requirements as necessary to meet ever changing needsPosition Requirements:Professional experience in the mechanical design of shipboard radar systemsDemonstrate expertise in corrosion prevention in marine environment, in DC and AC motor design and gear assemblies, in thermal modeling, 3D modeling for assessment of mechanical stresses (Vibration, Loading, Thermal, etc.)Must be a US CitizenAn Active Secret Clearance is required or be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance of secret or higher, interim may be required before startingEducation and Certification:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringCOVID Policy: TRISTAR does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
