Patient Services Representative

Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, the primary focus of this position is to coordinate and facilitate our patients visit to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided. You are their first and last point of contact for all visits. This role will be working independently as part of a smaller team so you must be strong and confident in that environment. This role requires individuals to be self-motivated, have a high-level of empathy and able to problem solve efficiently.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Schedule is Monday-Friday, variation of 8:00am-5:00pm, depending on the needs of the clinic. This position may require travel to our other clinics on an as needed basis.
Essential Functions:

- Greet and welcome all patients upon arrival
- Check them in, verify personal information (name, address, insurance)
- Must be detail oriented and able to multitask
- Be an advocate for our patients as well as our practice
- Take and balance copays and batches
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Maintain a current understanding of insurances
- Process mail, faxes and scans

Education and experience
- High School Diploma required
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- High level of luxury customer service skills
- Exceptional diplomatic communication skills and experience in handling difficult customer situations
- Ability to multitask
- Bi-lingual skills a plus, but not required
- Maintain a current understanding of the company's systems (NextGen, Phreesia, etc)
- Must be a positive, professional team player
