The candidate must be able to apply engineering practices to the construction and testing of complex instrumentation systems. The candidate must be able to work within the structure of an overall project team while being able to work independently on sub-tasks. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:Interpret documents, electrical drawings, and/or P&ID describing instrumentation systems.Assist/perform construction of instrumentation panels and assemblies.Install sensors in piping or HVAC systems using documentation as guidance.Mark up documentation to reflect the as-built system.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Familiarity with P&ID and electrical drawing symbology as per ANSI standards.Experience with wiring industrial control systems or data acquisition systems.Familiarity with safe wiring practices, cable routing, DIN rail assemblies, and wireways.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other CharacteristicsFamiliarity with physical setup and connection of instrumentationKnowledge of electrical area hazard classification systemsProficiency with laboratory bench instrumentation and prototype construction is a plusEducation and ExperienceAssociate's degree in electronics or equivalent certifications.Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in instrumentation and data acquisition.Pay TransparencyThe salary range for this position is $46,000 - $56,000 annually. This salary range is GTI Energy's good faith estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, GTI Energy's business or organizational needs and an individual's relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, and/or performance. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus. The range listed is just one component of GTI Energy's total compensation package for employees.
