Participates in planning and performing studies, surveys and reviews of GSA financial management systems including the core accounting system, to identify opportunities for financial improvement. OR have completed at least one full year of graduate level education (18 semester hours or the equivalent) in accounting and/or auditing, or in a related field such as business administration, finance or public administration. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR THE GS-09 GRADE LEVEL: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience developing automated accounting procedures for routine records and analyzing financial and statistical data OR 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master’s degree or master’s or equivalent graduate degree. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR THE GS-11 GRADE LEVEL: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience that demonstrates knowledge of the structure of private and public ledger accounts and the relationship between accounts; and experience providing advice on financial data to management. OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. This position has a positive education requirement: Applicants must submit a copy of their college or university transcript(s) and certificates by the closing date of announcements to verify qualifications.
