Sr. Applications Engineer

The Sr. Applications Engineer collaborates with the Sales Department, Application Engineering, and R&D of theCompany, as well as all applicable business partners of maxon motor, a.g. Their role involves delivering training,technical support, and implementing solutions using maxon, ZUB, and Parvalux motion control products, as well astailored controllers for customer projects and opportunities. Additionally, they are responsible for evaluating newproducts and ensuring efficient, reliable, and valuable system solutions, including motion control systems. Major Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Answer technical questions from customers and sales engineering team on MC&E products Support customers with component selection (motors and motion control components) Support customers with troubleshooting (technical issues, RMA) Professional communication with customers to help evolve customer relationships Provide technical support on all Parvalux products (motion control products), including training of Sales Engineers, direct customers, and business partners (e.g. representatives) ?Assist in the development and presentation of technical seminars Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the maxon and Parvalux sales teams, as well as businesspartners and production units ?Back-up Sales Engineers by providing technical support to customers on selection of motion control products including but not limited to: motors/gear/encoder/controllers ?Onsite customer support, as necessary ?Take ownership to actively drive projects, developments, and investigations in house and at the customer ?Applies system level expertise to help customers improve their design and product development ?Offers consulting and support services beyond technical product support ?Application development for custom products in combination with maxon, ZUB, and Parvalux OTS products ?Accountable for Parvalux related requests on maxon support portal Customer/Client Focus Initiative/Results Driven Technical Capacity Organizational Skills Presentation Skills Time Management Skills Strong Analytical Skills Trusted resource for feedback and guidance on MMAG product roadmap Development of Hard- and Software skills REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES BS Engineering or Science / Math / Technology Equivalent required Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate in the words of the end-user Computer literacy in Microsoft Office functionality required Knowledge of C/C++, LabVIEW, MatLAB/Simulink programming, or similar language to work with common IDE’s is preferred Knowledge of ECAD/EDA software like Altium is preferred Knowledge of 3D CAD/PDM software Minimum of 7 years related experience Free to travel at all times without restriction, including internationally ServoSoft experience/knowledge is a plus Parvalux Electric Motors is a leading global manufacturer of geared motor solutions, chosen by manufacturers to power hundreds of diverse applications.
