Description

Arbor Wellness is a residential mental health and co-occurring diagnosis facility in Madison, TN. We approach patient care from a holistic recovery approach, paying attention to our patients' complex and individualized needs. Our program utilizes both group and individualized therapy, psychopharmacology, pharmacogenetic testing, and a wide variety of adjuvant therapies. We are a voluntary facility - patients are here on their own accord, and we do not utilize restraints or forceful measures of treatment.

The Primary Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention services, psychoeducation presentations, and experiential learning groups for clients and their families.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

•Compassion towards people in early recovery and mental health treatment

•Patience with the client population

•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

•Demonstrated ability to work as part of a healthcare team

Job Responsibilities:

•Provides clinical services including individual, group, and family therapy along with process groups, psychoeducational groups, and crisis intervention services.

•Provides psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, individual therapy notes, and discharge summaries.

•Works closely with the treatment team including case managers, intake coordinators, psychiatric nurse practitioners, the clinical director, and the program manager.

•Completes clinical documentation promptly in line with state, insurance, and joint commission regulations.

•Attends staff training and meetings as required by the employer.

•Other duties as assigned

Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm

Job Qualifications:

•Masters in counseling, social work, or psychology.

•LPC, LAPC, or CADC are strongly preferred.

•Experience working with addictions and mental health diagnoses.

•Ability to use a variety of counseling interventions including CBT, DBT, ACT, Family Systems, etc.

•The understanding of an array of theories and models of addiction and mental illness.

•Knowledge of philosophies, practices, and outcomes of different treatment models.

•Understanding of relapse prevention through the continuum of care.

•Understanding of dually diagnosed populations.

•Strong verbal and written communication skills.

•Competent in areas of gender-specific issues, diverse cultures, and the ability to incorporate the needs of the client into treatment.

•Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.

•Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize daily and weekly tasks appropriately.

•Understanding electronic medical record systems a plus.
