Job Description:Job Description40 hours weekly / 1st ShiftSign On Bonus Eligible for candidates who have not been employed by Baptist Health or its affiliates within the preceding 12 months.Job Duties:Assist the RN with circulating duties as need to carry out the implementation of appropriate interventions.Scrubbing, setting up cases, passing instruments and assisting the physician.Works with circulator, orderlies and other room staff to perform post-case cleaning duties.Cut suture material as directed by the surgeon and apply electrocautery to clamps on bleeders.Requirements:Surgical technologists must graduate from a Surgical Technologist program or have comparable military training.Must have good written and verbal skills; must frequently work under pressure. Must be able to follow instructions explicitly as not to compromise patient care. Exhibits calm behavior to patients and visitors. Ability to get along well with others. Must adhere to medical ethics and have concern for the welfare of the patient.
