Responsibilities:

SCOPE OF WORK

Read and understand Design packages for project. Read/understand/interpret job site specifications. Ability to set and maintain Quality Control goals through training. Ability to be self sufficient

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive knowledge of National Electrical Code and AHJ requirements
  • Attention to detail while maintaining ability to meet deadlines
  • Must display sound judgement and decision making

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and Implementing Quality Management Systems: Design, implement, and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Quality Control Processes: Establish and maintain quality control procedures for each stage of the manufacturing process, from raw material inspection to final product testing. This includes conducting regular inspections, audits, and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality standards for raw materials and components. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Training and Development: Provide training to manufacturing staff on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices. Ensure that all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities regarding quality assurance.
  • Quality Assurance Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans. Ensure that all documentation is complete, organized, and easily accessible for audits and reviews.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes. Utilize quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer feedback and complaints to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications related to electrical manufacturing. Ensure that the company remains compliant with all applicable requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to product quality and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. This may include conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and establishing contingency plans.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, production, and logistics, to address quality issues, resolve conflicts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Quality Culture: Foster a culture of quality throughout the organization by promoting awareness, accountability, and a commitment to excellence among employees at all levels.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track quality performance. Analyze KPI data to assess the effectiveness of quality assurance processes and identify areas for improvement.

Overall, the Quality Assurance Manager in electrical prefabrication manufacturing plays a pivotal role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3+ in Electrical Quality Control
  • NFPA 70E preferred; Journeymen license preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bi-lingual a plus
