Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic **Mission Information Systems Engineer** who is fueled by problem-solving, continuously curious, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Design and implement information technology solutions across space and ground systems.

+ Contribute to the architecture of in-space network systems.

+ Integrate mission, corporate, and DevSecOps information technology systems.

+ Support high-criticality software deployments in both production and test environments.

+ Coordinate network interoperability, joint tests, and configuration audits with external stakeholders.

+ Trade study COTS hardware and software IT systems for a space environment.

+ Implement IP-based connectivity solutions for both mission support and payload systems.

+ Assist in construction of cloud-based simulation, test, and production software systems.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

**Education & Experience**

+ 5+ years experience in IT Solutions Architecture, Systems Operations, or DevSecOps roles.

+ 3+ years experience with administering Redhat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, or similar Linux operating systems in a production environment.

+ 3+ years experience with public or private cloud systems.

+ Experience with deploying Virtual Private Network solutions to edge environments.

+ Familiar with Information Security best practices in regulated industries such as aerospace or defense.

+ Familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code and network automation systems.

+ Experience with AWS GovCloud preferred.

+ Experience with agile development methodologies preferred.

**Essential Functions**

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

**Requirements**

+ Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

+ Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

+ Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

**Physical Requirements**

+ Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
