Do you have a passion for construction and a keen eye for detail? Are you a college student seeking valuable industry experience, or a retired construction professional looking to re-engage with the field? We are seeking a motivated Quantity Takeoff Specialist to join our growing estimating team in a part-time or full-time capacity.

In this role, you will leverage your construction knowledge and expertise in digital tools to extract and quantify materials and labor requirements for commercial construction projects. You will work closely with estimators and project managers to ensure the successful completion of takeoffs and cost estimates.

Responsibilities:

Utilize digital construction drawings and specifications (e.g., BIM, CAD) to extract and quantify materials and labor requirements using e-takeoff software for various commercial construction projects.

Prepare detailed and accurate quantity takeoff reports, including breakdowns by material type, size, and location, using Sage 100 Contractor software.

Verify and cross-check takeoff data for accuracy and completeness.

Participate in the development of cost estimates by providing accurate material and labor quantities.

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of construction materials, assemblies, and industry standards.

Stay up-to-date on the latest digital takeoff software and technologies.

May assist with other estimating tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

For College Students: Enrolled in a construction management, engineering, or related program with a strong interest in estimating. Construction field experience a plus.

For Retired Construction Professionals: Proven experience in construction with a strong understanding of materials, assemblies, and estimating practices.

Experience using e-takeoff software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam Revu) preferred.

Proficiency in Sage 100 Contractor software a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.

Meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Hourly Rate/Salary Range

$16.83 21.63 / Hour
