This position will work closely with the Warehouse Logistics Manager to ensure items are received properly and distributed in a timely manner.

Compensation:

$17.00-$19.00/hour (non-exempt)

Reports to: Warehouse Logistics Manager

Responsibilities

Essential Duties
  • Receives all goods and inventory coming into the warehouse.
  • Ensures that the necessary paperwork is received in the office for data input.
  • Works closely with the Warehouse & Distribution Manager to keep the warehouse clean and organized.
  • Assists in receiving shipment into finance and inventory management software and applying shipment to Purchase Orders for various departments.
  • Receives all deliveries from FedEx, UPS, Kamaka Air, etc. and coordinates deliveries/pick-up of these items.
  • Properly stores and tags materials and supplies entering the warehouse to ensure accurate inventory and counts.
  • Generates delivery tags.
  • Verifies all items received against bills of lading, invoices, orders, receivers, etc.
  • Actively participates in the physical inventory of the warehouse as necessary.
  • Rotates stock according to FIFO to ensure quality control.
  • Maintains par levels of warehouse issue items and places order to replenish items as needed.
  • Prepares daily shipment for FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.
  • Ensures that all deliveries have been pulled accurately, are tagged properly, are taken out of inventory (if necessary), and are clearly marked for their final destination.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualification/Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of clerical experience, preferred. Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in construction materials and supplies, preferred.
  • Experience in logistics related to shipment of goods is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Requires working to established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Able to think and make effective decisions quickly.
  • Ability to create effective working relationships with employees.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.
  • Must be able to foster teamwork within the department and with other business entities.
Required Work Cards/Certifications:
  • Valid Hawaii Driver's License and successful review of Motor Vehicle Record
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card
  • Forklift Certification
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
  • The employee is occasionally required to operate objects, tools or controls.
  • Must be able to work in extreme conditions including sunny, rainy, hot, cold, windy, and dusty conditions.
