The RoleOur
Hollywood, AL
location is currently looking for a forward-thinking innovator and advocate for Quality. As a Quality Engineer, you will utilize your keen attention to detail, understanding of quality control methods, and ability to implement effective processes to drive the quality of our products throughout the entire plant.
Duties & Responsibilitiesadvanced quality planning documents and participate in quality planning activities, including FMEA’s, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Charts, and Gage R&R and capability studiesProcess Change Requests and implement changes, respecting company standards and customer requirementscustomer requirements and expectations throughout the organization and develop systems to meet themand/or update quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEA, DFMEA, DVP&R, PPAP preparation, etc.engineering processes and products for adherence to company and regulatory standards and practicesin quality-improvement initiatives and projectsquality reviews and internal audits; evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standardsdata and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished productmodifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capabilityquality improvement parameters by identifying methods relevant to manufacturing processesfeedback to customers based on quality projects (e.g., warranty, APQP, issues, etc.)/ all other duties as assigned
Skills & Experienceworking as a Quality Engineer (or SQE) in an automotive or manufacturing environmentwith some or all of the following: DFMEA, PFMEA, process control plans, technical process documentation, APQP, PPAP, etc.strong analytical and problem solving-skillsknowledge of quality engineering techniquesin Engineering or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted with relevant experience)
