Reporting to the Sr. Product Manager, this position significantly contributes to the business by supporting all activities associated with their assigned product lines within our three primary brands, Retail Space Solutions, and Commercial Zone and Trade Fixtures. The APM will support our new product development initiatives by researching market trends, competitive feature sets and market positioning to identify differentiators for new and existing products. The successful candidate supports the life cycle management for their assigned product categories. The APM takes direction from the Sr. Product Manager and must be able to work independently to lead and execute assigned projects.

Essential Functions:

Work closely with Sr. Product Manager to determine market needs and identify strengths and weaknesses within assigned product lines. Conduct market research and voice of customer interviews to determine pain points. Provide analysis and recommendations to Sr. Product Manager and product development teams. Analyze direct and indirect competitors including product offerings, pricing, programs, new technologies to identify all differentiators and industry trends. Provide recommendations for product improvements or new product offerings. Develop business cases for select products and collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Purchasing and Operations to guide new products and line extensions through the Stage Gate product development process. Manage the Product Simplification and end of life process. Own the competitive data library. Partner with marketing resources to deliver all necessary product and training collateral. Other tasks as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

Solid business, marketing, analytical, and financial skills required. Ability to think quickly and make sound decisions based on facts and prior experiences. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Managing Work - Effectively manages time to ensure work is completed efficiently. Organizational Skills – Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Skills and Abilities:

Education – Bachelors or associate degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent Experience – Prior experience of 2 plus years in product management, product marketing, new product development or equivalent Computer Skills – Ideal candidate will be proficient with all Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of project management and Stage Gate tools is a plus.

Work Environment:

Work is a hybrid model and performed largely in office and manufacturing environments. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours (8AM-5PM) with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines, and other concerns. Occasional travel may be required.
