Description

This is a part-time hourly position starting at $15/hour.

Under the general direction of the Events Logistics Manager, the Event Lead is responsible for the successful day- of execution of special events including (but not limited to) weddings, meetings, photo shoots, and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with clients and the internal Garden team to successfully executive plan of action, as coordinated with the client.
  • Review and understand all event paperwork prior to shift to ensure seamless execution.
  • Work and interact professionally with all levels of management and staff of the Garden.
  • Oversee vendor load-in and load out, including set-up, break down, and cleanup of the event
  • Effectively interact with clients (internal & external), caterers, wedding planners, etc. ensuring excellent customer service and a top-quality experience with the Garden.
  • Thoroughly complete all event paperwork, incident reports, and the handling of any other issues pertaining to vendors, the event, safety of individuals attending and the maintenance of the Garden facility from damage.
  • Monitor event activities to ensure the client and event attendees are satisfied.
  • Monitor guest behavior and communicate with appropriate departments as needed.
  • Assist with managing on-site production and clean up for events as necessary.
  • Notify supervisor of any inventory deficiency, shortage, spill, point of sale issue, need for void/refund or incidents with guests.
  • Provide excellent customer service in meeting the needs and requests of clients.
Requirements
  • Must complete alcohol service training - TIPS certification or ServSafe Alcohol.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills are essential to job success.
  • Must show the ability to respond quickly and effectively to change.
  • Attention to detail and excellent math skills are required.
  • Must be able to interact with the public in a confident and professional manner .
  • Demonstrate excellent listening and clear speaking skills.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and be able to report to work on a changing schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Standing and walking 90% of the time
  • Position occasionally requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions
  • Must be able to work outside at times, including in the elements during all seasons
