Accounting Supervisor

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the preparation of financial statements and statistical data; prepares journal entries for input into the general ledger for financial reporting purposes and provides detailed account analysis, in addition to reconciliations and supporting work papers for general ledger accounts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the collections staff
  • Ensure timely collections of trade receivables
  • Responsible for reporting and collecting delinquent accounts
  • Determines new customer creditworthiness
  • Prepares and coordinates annual audits with outside accounting firm
  • Verifies the validity and accuracy of the information used to produce the financial statements
  • Analyzes and reviews monthly reserve schedules
  • Responsible for the timely close of the G/L monthly
  • Prepares monthly journal entries
  • Handles various special projects assigned by Senior Management
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in the accounting profession
  • Preferably 2-4 years of corporate accounting experience, handling G/L, A/R and A/P
  • Experience in an Accounting or Reporting system
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
