Join the MasTec family and help us provide the highest level of quality service to our customers and communities while maintaining our commitment to safety ResponsibilitiesDrive an Aerial Bucket truck or van with a capacity of under 26,000 GVW, primarily for the construction/installation of Broadband Systems utilizing support strand coax or fiber optic cables. Required to assist the Lineman/Foreman while constructing said Systems. Load and unload truck with equipment for daily operations. Must learn to climb utility poles with an attempt to become a Lineman.Tasks:Load and unload trucks. Pull cable lasher, supply lineman/foreman with tools and equipment.Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.Read maps, and follow written and verbal geographic directions.Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.Maintain records such as vehicle logs, in accordance with regulations.Other Tasks as determined by Management.Watch Fiber reels during pulling operations.Skills:Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.Attributes:Multi limb Coordination - The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down.
