Job Description:

  • $30.00 - $35.00/HR to start
  • Temp to perm assignment

Shifts:
  • 1st: 4am - 230pm, Mon - Thurs
  • 2nd: 230pm - 1am, Mon - Thurs (gets 10% shift differential while working 2nd shift)
  • 3rd: 5am - 530pm, Fri - Sun (15% shift differential)
  • Responsible for leading local delivery and execution of core welding to vendors and managers with corporate policies and procedures, and plant operations. You will perform a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with Company policies in a manufacturing facility.
  • Responsible for read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications. Operate Miller Aluma Pro Mig gun. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as GMAW, Plasma Cutter. Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. Conduct Technical Inspections.
  • Other duties include Prepare input for various management and log reports. Review blueprints and specifications; ensure drawings and specifications will function as designed in environment intended for use. Develop goals and priorities; assign tasks and projects. Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects. Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation. Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Technical certifications, licenses, and/ or college degrees preferred.
  • 5+ years experience as a Welder.
  • Advanced/ strong blueprint knowledge.
  • Ensure continuous improvements in work cells, hitting quotas, welding according to pre-set parameters using GMAW welding processes.
  • Ability to scan in and out of work orders is a must, as well as have strong knowledge and skill in operating all metalworking machinery.
  • Strong experience with MIG welding stainless steel with the machine on pulse setting.
  • Strong experience with Welding a t-joint and finishing the weld off with filler wire.
