The US Tax Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and providing expert guidance on tax-related matters. Main Responsibilities Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all tax laws and regulations. Work with our external advisors where tax compliance processes have been out-sourced. Manage and oversee the data collection and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns. Manage and oversee the data collection and review of US sales and use tax returns. Tax Planning and Strategy: Assist with the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position. Identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation. Provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions and transactions. Financial Reporting: Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax accounting and financial reporting. Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures. Audit and Controversy: Manage tax audits and examinations by federal, state, and local tax authorities. Resolve tax-related inquiries and disputes in a timely and efficient manner. Compliance Monitoring: Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensure the company's compliance. Develop and maintain internal controls and processes to support tax compliance.
