Quality Control Engineer

Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Quality Control Engineer is responsible for the implementation of customer quality requirements and the integrity for quality processes and procedures.Essential Job FunctionsAssuring product, process, and system quality requirements are determined and implementedConsistent communication and follow-up with production and customersDefining, analyzing and resolving issues effectively and responsiblyMaintaining records and making sure procedures are followedWriting standard work instructionsImplement manufacturing processes that include Continuous Improvement, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, Process Flow, Corrective Action Process, and Problem Solving Methodologies (5-Why, 8D, etc.)Perform and coordinate internal audits/training to ensure continuing compliance with Quality System Standards and the manufacture of safe productsLeading countermeasure activities across departmentsCoordinate with production personnel, vendors, and external contractors to implement kaizensComplete supporting documentation, such as poka-yoke, changeover procedures, and welding conditions to comply with customer requirementsRead blueprints and use computer aided design softwareFollow standard work instructionsPerform other duties assignedOther Job FunctionsComply with FIC's Safety policies and proceduresComply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standardsPerform 5-S activities Requirements 2+ years of Quality experienceExperience reading blueprints and using measuring toolsMust have proficient oral and written communication skillsMust be willing to cross-trainMust have experience with Microsoft Office SuiteExceptional Health Benefits - 90% Company PaidExcellent Medical, Dental, and Vision BenefitsShort-Term Disability Paid by EmployerOptional Long-Term Disability, and Additional Life Insurance401k Company MatchVacation, Holiday, and Personal Days Paid
