About the Internship Program:

Over the course of 10 weeks, a select group of college and university students will join us, gaining valuable work experiences and insights into our most exciting products. Interns engage with Wizards' beloved brands, gaining meaningful work-experience through day-to-day training, hands-on projects, executive exposure, individual development planning and mentorship.   • Our program runs between June 10 - August 16, 2024.
  • Our internships are paid
We are seeking an intern to help orchestrate global brand marketing campaigns for Magic: The Gathering® Secret Lair and Universes Beyond releases. We are looking for a self-starter with a passion for games and product marketing. You should have experience building product marketing campaigns, encouraging and collaborating with cross functional teams, building and leading tactical plans that deliver on the product positioning, audience definition, and compelling key messages.

What You'll Do:
  • Product Marketing Champion - Support the marketing business owners and go-to-market leaders for Secret Lair and Universes Beyond on launch campaigns.
  • Innovative and Analytical Leader - Work with internal and external teams to help build larger-than-life, authentic, and break-thru marketing messaging, while measuring program outcomes and generating data-driven takeaways.
  • Planning Maestro - Ensure marketing campaign resourcing is prioritized, efficient, and optimized.
  • Campaign Connector - Be the go-to person across all functions and channels, throughout campaign phases, from conceptualization to implementation and post-campaign analysis, actualizing product business goals.
  • Global Supporter - Engage with global regional teams to ensure success in their respective markets.
  • Good Partner - Build positive relationships across the organization, through a collaborative and impact-first mentality.
  • Good External Partner - Build long lasting relationships with external Universes Beyond partners and become a trusted person who represents their brand within Wizards of The Coast.
  • Industry Authority - Follow industry, Universes Beyond Partner's IP, and become a subject matter authority at understanding the market environment and the opportunity of each set within it, given distinguishing features/ mechanics/ themes.
What You'll Bring:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-seeking program pursuing an MBA with at least one quarter or semester left after August 2024
  • Available to work full-time hours for 10 weeks in-person at our Renton, WA office location.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
  • 2 years' experience in Product Marketing, including go-to-market plans, marketing playbooks, and ability to craft and communicate strategy.
  • Proven track record of outstanding communication skills and coordination with cross functional teams.
  • A business-impact-first self-starter who has a track-record of driving measured incremental demand.
  • Experience tracking and reporting on marketing metrics. Using data to drive decisions and planning.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.
  • An outlier-level of passion for both games and the business of games.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and great sense of humor
