TSC services over 750 locations across 39 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas. Including contract employees and seasonal workers, total staffing is over 5,000 team members. The Service Companies is privately owned and was acquired by Gridiron Capital, an investment company, in July 2018. The Service Companies (TSC) is a trusted integrated services partner to hotels, casinos, resorts, universities, schools, stadiums, and commercial facilities. We provide unparalleled cleaning, housekeeping, staffing, and maintenance services designed to improve the health and cleanliness of our clients' facilities, maximize efficiencies, and help our clients better manage their most challenging departments. The services TSC offers are distributed among three service lines:
• Managed Services – Turnkey cleaning solutions for hotels, casinos, healthcare establishments, institutions of higher education, and commercial facilities; stewarding, overnight cleaning, public area cleaning, laundry, kitchen cleaning, pressure washing, exterior building cleaning, and more
• Hospitality Services – Food & Beverage and Hospitality staffing for Stadium/Arenas, Schools/Universities, Convention and Corporate Dining, Caterers and Restaurants
• Specialty Services – Commercial Facilities Maintenance, Window and Chandelier Cleaning
Position Overview:
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel Stewarding, Public Area, and Kitchen Cleaning department in a large resort property. Director will also oversee the local housing and transportation program. Hospitality Stewarding department head experience or higher required, no exceptions.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for the overall management of the entire Stewarding and Public Area departments to include customer service scores and profitability
Manages a base of over 80 employees
Key interface between client property + senior management
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct
Publicly recognizes and rewards employees
Coaches underperforming employees to improved performance
Ensures new employees follow the company training plan
Ensures proper documentation is completed as necessary
Ensures payroll is completed daily
Smiles and is friendly when interacting with co-workers, guests and property employees
Follows and teaches all required safety and standard operating procedures
Adheres to all company and regulatory policies. Reports any wrongdoing to corporate headquarters in Miramar, Florida
Available to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and long hours
Acts as a role model to other employees
Skills and Abilities:
5+ years prior Stewarding management experience in a large resort
Ability to understand, analyze and manage the monthly P&L
Ability to speak publicly addressing a large group
Ability to push and pull 50 pounds
Ability to remain standing for extended periods of time
Must meet company and client’s appearance standards
Ability to work with a variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals
Ability to perform all duties as required with or without an accommodation
Ability to motivate and respect a diverse team of hourly employees
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Spanish fluency highly preferred
