Compensation : $68 - $68 Hourly Client Job Ref ID : 139771 Shift Description : Day shifts - 36 hours (weekends rotating) Travel Nurse - Med/Surg El Paso, Texas, United States - 79835Job Title: Travel Nurse - Med/Surg Number of positions: 1 Shift: Day shifts- 36 hours (weekends rotating) Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 06/22/2023 Hourly Pay: $68 OT: 1.5 Weekly pay: $2,448 JOB DESCRIPTION Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications. Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements. Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team. Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of two years in med/surg current experience Covid Vaccine required Active unencumbered RN Georgia state license or compact license License/Registration/Certification BLS, ACLS - American Heart Association SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
