LHH is partnering with an $800MM consulting organization that is based in Addison, TX. We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team. This position will play a key role in supporting their financial operations and internal corporate business function. We are targeting a base salary of $75,000 to $85,000, along with a bonus potential and competitive benefits. They are primarily remote, with occassional in-office meetings. As of right, candidates will need to be local to DFW even though this is a remote position.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger system by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial transactions. Monitor account balances and identify discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide insights to support decision-making processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports and analysis. Ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance internal controls, and improve efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function. Implement best practices and automation solutions where applicable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments, including finance, operations, and procurement, to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial information. Provide support and guidance to colleagues as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a Public Accounting firm; two+ busy seasons is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends and insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive mindset with a desire for continuous learning and professional development.
