Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Supervisor of Clinics, this position is responsible for registering patients, answering, and directing telephone calls, verifying insurance, and collection of payments and cash deposits. The Patient Registration Clerk will interact with other departments, clinic personnel, and outside providers in a professional and friendly manner, to create and maintain a positive relationship with our internal and external customers.Greets and receives patients and visitors coming to the office with a friendly greeting.Verifies insurance eligibility at the beginning of the month for patients on schedule.Ensures that eligibility is verified for all patients before they receive treatment with any provider.Prepares all needed paperwork for physical examinations, work evaluations, return-to-work evaluations and injuries and other visits.Daily pick-up of mail.Answers telephone calls to the reception station.Orders supplies for the reception station (or identifies need for re-ordering).Prepares new patient charts.Enters all pertinent patient demographics, insurance carrier information and processes all forms daily.Batch ledgers daily.Cover other clinics as needed.Ensures members are enrolled in the Patient Portal.Collects fees when applicable. (Copays and POA's)C L Annual TrainingWilling to work at any company location or department, depending on business/staffing needs (if driving for the company then employees must provide current CDL and Auto Insurance)Other duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent required.Ability to deal responsibly with matters of a confidential nature.Ability to prioritize.Must have valid California Driver's License and current vehicle insurance.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $24.27 and $28.55 however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
