Job Description Position Purpose: With a focus on maintaining a clean and inviting customer shopping environment, the Custodian maintains the physical facilities of the grocery store. A Custodian can work at a fast pace, has a keen eye for safety and will be able to help execute an assortment of duties throughout the store. Responsibilities: A Custodian is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service. A Custodian's responsibilities include: Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members. Engaging with customers through smiles, greetings, and genuine thank you. Maintaining the store's floors by sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, and sealing. Cleaning and maintaining the entrance of the store, eating areas, restrooms, warehouse and janitorial sink and supply area. Cleaning vending machines, water fountains, electric mart carts. Emptying and disposing of trash collected in various trash receptacles throughout the store.
