JOB SUMMARY

Join our team at Scientific Protein Laboratories (SPL), a world leader in biosourced pharmaceuticals, located just outside of Madison, Wisconsin in Waunakee SPL is an innovative biopharmaceutical leader with unique products and services supporting the pharmaceutical industry globally. For over 40 years, SPL specializes in the development and cGMP compliant manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). SPL has an exciting opportunity to join the team as an Engineering Technician.

This position is responsible for responsible for solving technical problems with facility equipment used in manufacturing and utilities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Create solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Assist engineers as they create, modify, and test equipment and processes.
  • Inspect equipment and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement.
  • Setup and maintain equipment.
  • Operate and maintain equipment.
  • Solve technical problems related to maintenance.
  • Perform repairs of equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure setting up of safety measures related to maintenance.
  • Monitor the functioning of plant equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required, Associate's Degree or above in Engineering Technology, Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Technology, Civil, or Electrical Technology preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience required, 10+ years of experience preferred.
