**Description**
**Purpose of the position:**
The purpose of a Snowbowl Supervisor Retail Sales Associate is to help our guests find the best gear for their needs. Be able to communicate the functions and highlights of products and offer the best solutions for each guest. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all sales associates are knowledgeable in all products carried in the store and to act in the absence of the manager. Maintain a clean and orderly shop, in charge of backstocking items that are sold. Expected to know where products are located in both shops, products not on display and which products the stores are running low. Assist the manager in orders, reorders and creating sale items to best move product throughout the season. Able to open and/or close the shop without assistance, and communicate well with the retail manager.
**Essential Functions:**
* Extended knowledge of Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort
* Be able to accurately handle payments and balance cash drawer.
* Offer Product Knowledge gained through trainings and clinics
* Assist in creating merchandising plans and layouts
* Keep the shop clean and tidy
* Backstock each morning and evening for both retail locations
* Ensure employees are knowledgeable and providing accurate information about retail products
* Assist Manager to track when items need to be reordered
* Track items that are not selling and move around shop or create sale items
* Assist manager with hiring, training and scheduling of employees
* Represent Snowbowl with vendors and reps
* Complete all special orders for employees and guests in a timely manner
* Maintain all backstock areas to ensure items can easily be found
* Assist manager in buying and reordering items for the store
* Utilize Report Manager to track inventory and category sales
* Assist in designs of personalized products and finding new items to sell in the store
* Join manager in vendor meetings when possible
* Stay up to date with new technologies and products in the ski industry
* Help manager train employee(s) to assist in backstocking so manager is not involved on a daily basis
* Assist manager in between seasons to flip shop for the next season
* Coordinate with brand representatives to schedule shop clinics
* Track and execute employee bowl buck program
**Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements:**
* Attend training held by retail manager
* Attended product clinics put on by company reps
* Expert Voice Certificates.

Physical Requirements:
* Able to stand for long periods of time
* Lifting up to 25 pounds
* Cleaning/ maintaining lodge and department areas such as windows, picking up trash, ect
Competencies Required:

* Basic math/POS cash handling skills
* Attention to detail and organization of store and backstock areas
* Ability to foresee future needs for the store (i.e. requesting reorders before a product is out)
* Leadership skills to work with employees and keeping them on task
