Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Oversee the design, engineering, and development of manufactured goods and support the sustaining engineering of current products. Support new product designs that fulfill the companys or customers strategic goals while integrating the needs of the marketing, sales, and manufacturing departments.

-Maintain and grow state-of-the-art knowledge and expertise in assigned product categories.

-Perform research and development, solve problems, create engineering and quality specifications, and develop test protocols to ensure the product meets the expectations of all vested parties.

-Take initial ideas and develop various approaches while focusing on defined objectives.

-Direct the creation of models or samples and fine-tune designs until they are ready for production.

-Responsible for performing a wide range of assignments of a complicated nature with minimal guidance. Operate independently with limited guidance from managers and/or engineers.

-Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and aid in the development of best practices.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

The team consists of a supervisor and 6 others. The engineers oversee product categories and act as SMEs for their respective products. This role will likely support Toasters, Gas Products, and Panini Presses. Other team members oversee refrigeration-based products, deep fryers, electric products (griddles, hot plates, charbroilers, etc.). There are 3 other groups with 4-13 engineers/designers in them. The team as a whole, but specifically this group, is very collaborative. If one group is slow, they will support another group.
