Title Financial Analyst Reports to Director of Finance Overview As the Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of the Urban Outfitters Financial Planning and Analysis Team. The role reports to the Director of Finance. This position will work closely with the business financial teams and various corporate function leads on financial projects and analyses. Key responsibilities include supporting business analysis, reporting, budgeting, strategic initiatives, and various ad hoc projects. Responsibilities Provide support for financial modeling, business case analysis and financial/management reporting Responsible for periodic reporting, variance analysis and updating the monthly finance presentation for management Review new, relocation, and renewal store real estate deal proposals and create pro-forma models for review with Brand and Finance leadership Support Workforce Management team with sales and supporting data to produce the store payroll forecasts monthly, occasionally refreshing mid-month as well Assist Operations Department with various monthly forecasting metrics Provide analytics and support for the annual budgeting process, including inputting and reconciling the budgets in the Hyperion Planning application Perform Ad Hoc and decision-support analysis as requested my management Develop ways to continually improve processes to ensure timely and accurate communication of information Qualifications 2-4 years in finance or business analysis, preferably in retail or apparel industry Experience in applying finance principles to business operations Working knowledge of financial systems: SAP BPC or Hyperion HFM, MicroStrategy a plus Advanced Financial Modeling and Analytics. Particularly the ability to efficiently analyze and summarize multiple variables across numerous locations. Proven ability to utilize and quickly adapt to new software and reporting systems Job Skills Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Demonstrated project management skills Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and proactive problem-solving skills Team player with a positive attitude, supportive management style Entrepreneurial in spirit, willing to take initiative and voice opinions that will promote good change. Ability to effectively communicate, influence and engage all levels of the organization Education Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Location Hybrid (2 days WFH & 3 days in office: Philadelphia, PA) Travel Some limited travel required.
