Job Description

Job Title: Software Test Automation Engineer

Employer: SomaLogic Operating Co., Inc. dba SomaLogic

Work Location: Boulder, Colorado and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. (may work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.)

Build, expand and test web applications for storing and managing scientific and biomedical data.

Create, maintain and expand test suites.

Design, develop and execute verification and validation test plans and test cases to ensure system architecture and functionality meet requirements and specifications.

Write and maintain clear and concise testing and engineering documents including plans, procedures, protocols and reports.

Participate in all phases of SDLC from requirements definition to deployment.

Establish and enhance existing test and agile processes and documentation.

Participate in the evaluation, selection and development of test automation tools applying latest techniques and processes (test-driven development, data-driven testing).

Work on cross-functional project teams; interface with product owners, software developers and key stakeholders to determine correct software behaviors; and provide technical contributions towards solving engineering problems and testing solutions.

Develop and maintain automation test infrastructure and test scripts; review and analyze requirements, test cases, test results and defects; and establish and maintain traceability from test cases to requirements.

Utilize high-level programming languages; SDLC testing; behavior driven tools and technologies; CI/CD; postman, cypress and other tools, technologies and languages in the automation and testing process.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Experience Requirement:

1 year of experience as a Software Test Automation Engineer or in any computer-related job title.

Other Special Skills or Requirements:

1 year of experience with automation and database backed web application testing. Working knowledge (1 year of experience) in: creating automation test scripts using high-level programming languages and tools; performing full SDLC testing in multiple test environments; using behavior driven tools and technologies to test web and API applications; using a CI/CD technology to execute automated tests; and using postman and cypress to perform CRUD operation for API testing. Background check required. Telecommuting/remote work permitted up to 100% from anywhere in the U.S., at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Offered salary: $85,000 to $110,000 per year. Employee will be eligible to receive Medical/Dental/Vision benefits; 401k Match.
