As a CDL-A Local Driver with System Freight, Inc., you will enjoy the stability of working with a well-established company that values its staff and provides defined career advancement opportunities. Ensure timely delivery of freight over short routes, primarily serving the Northeastern region. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as per company standards to ensure operational safety. Load and unload cargo, verifying loads against shipping papers, and maintaining clean and damage-free freight. Adhere to company policies and legal guidelines of trucking operation, including the management of necessary documentation. Provide excellent customer service during delivery, representing the company professionally at all times. Communicate effectively with logistics coordinators to report delays or discrepancies, and to receive delivery instructions. Proficient in operating a tractor-trailer or similar heavy vehicles. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards for vehicle operation. Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with GPS devices. Good physical condition and endurance to handle long hours and manual labor. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with store managers and dispatchers.
