Leads Advanced Quality Planning Activities
  • Develop and implement supplier quality management strategies to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality materials and components.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their capability to meet quality requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with supplier management and engineering teams to establish quality requirements for suppliers and monitor their compliance.
  • Collaborate with supplier management to establish and maintain supplier quality agreements and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective action techniques.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Management Group to monitor supplier performance metrics and provide regular reports to management on supplier quality status.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality processes and reduce defects.
  • Conduct regular meetings and communications with suppliers to address quality concerns and drive improvement actions.
  • Train suppliers on quality standards, requirements, and expectations.
  • Coordinate PPAP process to meet customer expectations. Review Supplier PPAP's for accuracy.
  • Create PPAP documentation for the customer based on submitted supplier documentation.
  • Work with the opportunity team to identify and implement effective controls to support the development, qualification, and commercialization of products to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
  • Works with company personnel to implement Lean Manufacturing concepts to improve efficiency and quality metrics.
  • Be available as a quality contact for Customer and Supplier issues.
  • Create, approve, review and close all Supplier Corrective Action Preventative Actions (CAPAs)
  • Perform containment procedures and help maintain Quarantine areas.
  • Manage Non-Conforming Material (NCM) events by determining the party responsible for NCM disposition between ESP and/or Supplier.
  • Collaborates with Immediate Action Response Team to identify short term critical path, manages containment activities, leads root cause analysis and implements long term solutions.
  • Influences QPPM and SPPM metrics by performing trend analysis and collaborating with other company employees, customers and suppliers for improvement.
  • Train others in Quality related skills and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance, or a related field and/or proven experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing or procurement environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus.


Tech Skills:
  • Advanced computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Database systems.
Other Skills:
  • Language: Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as drawings, and procedure manuals. Possesses high level business writing skills. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers or associates of ESP.
  • Quantitative: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, graphs, and proportions to practical situations.
