summary ResourceMFG is seeking an experienced Welder-Fitter for a client in the Roseville MI Area. Our technical organization comprises the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering Controls Engineering Software Design Project Management Installation Service Training Fabrication & Machining Assembly Quality Assurance The tight integration among these functions has enabled us to develop a simultaneous engineering method of working with our customers that provides you with higher-quality products, ease of manufacturing, greater cost effectiveness, and a shorter development cycle. Our EDI interfaces to Chrysler, Ford and General Motors facilitate work flow between those customers and our engineers. Shift: 6:00am 5:15pm M-F & Sa 5:45am - 10:45am Compensation: Negotiable Contract--to-hire Essential Functions Read blueprints and use necessary measuring devices Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Set up components for welding according to specifications Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Full Time Benefits Medical Insurance Vision Insurance Dental 401k Tuition Assistance required-skills: At least 1 year recent experience in welding/fitting Certification is a plus Ability to solve complex problems Deftness and attention to detail Experience utilizing electrical or manual tools Ability to perform assigned duties under time pressures Knowledge of machines and tools including designs, uses repair and maintenance Previous experience utilizing forklfit, overhead crane, aerial lift and LOTO Why work with ResourceMFG?
