Job Summary: The Grower Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions and records related to our grower operations. This role involves close collaboration with growers, farm managers, and the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and support for our agricultural activities. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records for all grower-related transactions, including planting, cultivation, harvesting, and sales. Track and analyze costs associated with grower operations, including inputs, labor, and equipment. Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to grower activities. Conduct cost accounting and variance analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, industry regulations, and company policies. Reconcile bank statements, grower accounts, and other financial transactions. Assist in the preparation of tax returns, financial statements, and regulatory filings. Collaborate with growers and farm managers to gather and analyze data on crop yields, input usage, and other key metrics. Perform periodic audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and strategic planning. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the agricultural or crop production industry. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification. Experience with agricultural accounting software.
