Job Description SummaryThe Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - NPI Process Development is responsible for tooling and fixturing designs and process development used in the manufacture of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) products. This role will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art MRI system tooling and fixturing components throughout all phases of the manufacturing process as well as develop or enhance existing processes. Activities include detailed mechanical and structural design of sub-system and component manufacturing aids related primarily to MRI superconducting magnets, including analysis, simulation, documentation, prototyping, testing, verification, qualification, demonstration of use and integration as well as process development and validation.GE HealthCare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator. Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop innovative designs to meet all manufacturing requirements for assembly, test, and manufacturabilityPreparation and presentation of tooling and fixturing design reports and part/assembly drawing reviewsParticipate and lead prototype build activities to ensure compliance with design intentDevelop product and component tooling and fixturing and purchase specificationsDevelop tooling/fixturing/processes using appropriate DFx, Six Sigma, and Lean toolsDesign leadership of productivity projects (both product cost and life cycle quality or reliability improvements)Provide creative solutions to unstructured product and system manufacturing challenges from the factoryRequired QualificationsBS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent5 years of engineering design experience***Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
