Overview JOB TITLE: Billing Specialist REPORTS TO: Billing Team supervisor and Assistant Director Supports: eXPRS Billing for DSPs Salary: $56,000 Nature and Scope of Job Serves as the point person for billing Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) billable hours in eXPRS. A Billing Specialist works collaboratively with the billing team to ensure accurate billing each pay period and insuring DSPs are paid accurately. A Billing Specialist is one of the first line of defense to prevent Medicaid Fraud. A Billing Specialist is expected to be the first level of contact for DSPs with hourly/pay discrepancies or questions, aside from family/client portal support; referring all applicable question or situations to the appropriate Family Service representative/Lead. We cant support our families without supporting our DSPs. No matter how small or redundant a question may be, a Billing Specialist is to be an extension of the support, positivity, and respect the DSP receives from DSP Connections. Qualifications 1 year of billing/data entry experience 1 year of customer service experience High School diploma or equivalent Calm and patient demeaner Well spoken Strong computer skills (keyboard, navigation, etc.) Microsoft Excelexperience (preferred) Understanding of eXPRS (preferred) Job Functions and Responsibilities A Billing Specialist shall: Gather reports from DSPC Portal for clock ins/outs Bill corresponding data in eXPRS via import Manage Payables inbox Perform audits as directed and needed Execute special pay initiatives as directed by leadership Complete projects/task that aim to grow and better processes within DSPC This can look like data entry, filing systems, and menial task that build strong structures for continued growth.
