We are looking for an assertive engineer who enjoys working within a team environment. In this role, you will support the wafer fab tools and processes in one or more functional areas (Photo, Etch, Deposition, Diffusion, etc.). In this fast-paced environment, you will be exposed to many processes and products with the full support of a mentoring group of senior engineers. We are augmenting our engineering team and looking for an engineer to help sustain our ongoing projects.
Position Summary
Provide engineering project support in a small semiconductor wafer fabrication manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
The process engineer is responsible to develop, monitor, and test wafer fab semiconductor products.
Create and update documentation describing product manufacture or equipment operation.
Implement and monitor tool and process SPC.
Design, run and document results of experiments under the direction of senior engineers. Experience with Design of Experiments is a plus.
Communicate and consult with team members and other staff, as necessary, to successfully complete tasks.
Must keep accurate records of all activities related to running process experiments or making process changes.
Our people help differentiate us in the marketplace, deliver our current success and realize our future organizational capability.
Work with minimal oversight by an engineer, able to get oriented quickly with the project to make meaningful progress independently.
Qualifications/Requirements
Desired Skills
At least two years working experience in a manufacturing industry is required
Experience working as an engineer in a wafer fab environment a plus
Ability to think out-of-the-box and create unique solutions to problems.
Experience, coursework, or knowledge of best-practice engineering principles.
Familiarity with statistical methods such as Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control and Gage R&R.
Strong Microsoft Office skills with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be well organized with the ability to present information for suggested process improvements to the Wafer Fabrication engineering team.
Effective verbal and written communication skills (English).
Good problem-solving track record.
Must be able to work in a clean room environment.
Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing certification
Education
B.S. in Chemical, Electrical or other related engineering discipline.
