Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer: Understanding of Quality Management System Standards: AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 9000 Investigating Root Causes and Implementing Corrective Actions: Employing methods such as Apollo Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Five Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone) Diagram, and various Problem?Solving Methodologies/Techniques like 8D and DMAIC. Utilizing Six Sigma, Lean principles, and tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC) Conduct audits to assess compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Requirements of the Quality Engineer: Experience with Aerospace & Defense products and processes. A bachelors degree in manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CQM), or a relevant experience in aerospace products and processes in a roll for Supplier Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering.
