Dallas Nephrology Associates (DNA) is a large independent single specialty practice with numerous offices located throughout the Dallas-Fort worth Metroplex. DNA has a long-standing reputation of providing quality care to patients in the North Texas area since 1971. We have immediate openings for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant (APP)s to service our patients amongst the Dallas and Fort Worth area hospitals in addition to inpatient coverage. This team member will provide medical oversight to an assigned group of patients under the supervision of a DNA Supervising Physician. Day to day responsibilities will include patient visits, consulting and collaborating with physician(s) to determine appropriate course of treatment, and review and reporting of lab results. Consults with other members of the healthcare team when appropriate. Instructs patients and family members regarding treatment Consults with other members of the healthcare team when appropriate. In addition, this provider will evaluate and ensure that patients are familiar with all options of treatment and receive the appropriate information and education about the options for them. Position available: Medical City Dallas (acute care certification required) - no night calls, no weekend required Below are the minimum necessary qualifications for this role - Requirements: Graduate from accredited APP program Acute Care Certification REQUIRED - (Acute care certification or hospital experience required for NPs) In-Patient hospital experience preferred Out-Patient hospital experience preferred Current Texas state license BLS/ACLS certification Reliable transportation
